"Million Dollar Shack: Trapped in a Silicon Valley Housing Bubble" made by Michelle Joyce examines the problem of spiralling property prices, "mega commuting," and the mass migration of a city's middle class.
A chronic lack of supply of affordable housing in the Bay Area of San Francisco is changing the societal fabric of a city once renowned for its cultural diversity. Ironically it is this culture that gave rise to the creation of Silicon Valley and the companies which ushered in the technological revolution.
It is worth a watch, with some interesting contributions from locals and community leaders who are resisting the waves of market forces.
